Preparing For FASHION WEEK Model Castings!

The Holidays Are Behind Us, Fashion Week Is Around The Corner & Model Castings Are Among Us!

Here Are A Few Tips To Be Prepared:

- Proper Hair.
(Your Hair Should Be Clean, Neat and Able to Be Styled Easily If Booked for a Show. Hair Pulled Back or Up In a Bun is Always Best So They Can See Your Facial Features, Neck & Shoulders. If You're Not Wearing Your Natural Hair, Don't Have The Wig, Weave or Extensions Look OBVIOUS. It's Not Tasteful & Can Be A Distraction.)

- Proper Nails, Toes & Eyebrows.
(Make Sure Your Nails Are Of Neutral Color & Not TOO Long. Although, The "Claws" Are In Style, It Doesn't Always Sit Well For A Designer. But, Nails, Toes and Eyebrows Should Be EXCEPTIONALLY Manicured.)

- PROPER Attire.
(The BEST Way To Explain Attire Is: Plain! It's Best To Have Tank Tops (Black, Gray, White) to Pair With Leggings/Flattering PLAIN Jeans. Very Little to No Jewelry or Make-Up is ALWAYS The Casting Rule. As Well As 5 or 6 Inch Closed Toe Pump. Get The Same Outfit Concept with Similar Tops & Bottoms so It Can Be Easy To Slip It On Anytime There's A Casting. Remember, You're Showcasing YOU so Anything EXTRA Would Be Unnecessary.

I Know You're Thinking "It's Too Cold for Tanks & High Heels On The Subway?" This Is Why You Carry A Tote For Your Shoes While You Wear Your Flats To The Destination. You Also Wear Either A Cardigan Under Your Coat Or A Thick Sweater You Can Throw Off & In Your Bag. It Sounds Like A Lot But I Always Get It Done In The Elevator To The Place. By The Time I Arrive, You Just See Me & A Tote.

Now, That You LOOK Right. All You Need Is Your MODEL PORTFOLIO & BUSINESS CARDS!

Next 'Model Monday' Post Will Detail The Perfect Portfolio for Fashion Week Castings!
