#HeavenlyFashion: The Best Of The Basics for your Summer Looks!

Hey Dolls & Gents!

So, I've recently went shopping for some new summer essentials. I had the idea that I would need extravagant pieces but once I reached. SOHO (NYC), I realized that I didn't need over the top items for my wardrobe at all. Just a few basic to pieces to pair with some things I already owned along with the talent of mixing and matching.

With that said, here's the best of the basics for the smooth transition from Summer to Fall ::

1. Dark Jeans

- These are the glue that holds the look together. You can always pair jeans with a blouse & heels, tank top & sandals or button down, blazer & work flats. Jeans are universal and work well for almost any occasion.

2. Comfy Flat

- Comfortability is KEY in fast paced cities. It's not always easy to be fashionable WITH five inch heels & a busy schedule. Find a flat that goes perfect in your tote & can be an exceptional replacement for those killer pumps!

3. Little Black Dress

- There isn't much to say about everyone's favorite closet item!
You need it, I need it, We all need a little black dress. :)

4. Short Heeled Pumps

-  Comfortable stylish pumps that can take you from the business meeting to the club, all by what you're wearing it with, of course.

5. Neutral Colored Watch

- Jewelry is always optional when it comes to looks. It's not for everyone & there's so many different varieties of necklaces, bracelets, rings & things. But a watch is simple, NECEESSARY & goes with everything.

6. V Neck Short Sleeved Top

- The queen of basics... V Neck is always the most flattering for women, short sleeve is always the safest in the summer so anyway perspiration problems do not occur & it can be paired with literally anything yo compliment a full look.

There You Have It!
My picks for The Best of the Basics.
Let me know what you think.

#HeavenlyFood: My Four Most Anticipated Restaurant Fall Openings!

Hey Dolls & Gents!

Hope you all have been soaking up the sun, putting your feet in the sand and drinking glasses of wine at outdoor seating. Well, If that'n not how your summer has been, It's about time to get to it because we're closer & closer to Fall & with Fall rapidly approaching, there's restaurants that are opening top of the next season here in NYC. Here's the FOUR restaurants that I'm looking most forward to.

1.Dan Kluger Solo Project will be opening December 201& located at 21-23 W. Eighth St.

As I am a fan of ABC Cocina & ABC Kitchen, I'm sure the former executive chef of these two amazing menus, Dan Kluger, will have something amazing to witness as he opens his very first solo venture in Greenwich Village. The menu will be American Cuisine. How Exciting!

2. The Smith NoMad will be opening Late October/early November & located at 1150 Broadway

The Smith is a known cuisine brand with it's successful locations in NYC. So, I was excited to find out there was another location opening in NoMad with an extensive menu from executive chef Brian Ellis.

3. Vaucluse will be opening September & located at 100 E. 63rd St.

Yes! I'm such a fan of the hospitality group, Altamarea Group, with their popular restaurants like Osteria Morini & Ai Fiori. Famed Chef Michael White and Marea's executive chef Jared Gadbaw teamed up to birth Vaucluse, the first French-inspired restaurwant within the franchise. The menu will feature fresh fish, grilled meat & classic vegetable dishes. Designed by Meyer Davis, the 186-seat restaurant will be something to see.

4. Maritime Hotel Project will be opening October & located at 363 W. 16th St.

Italian Phenomenons Mario Batali and Joe Bastianich are taking over the F&B at the Maritime Hotel in Chelsea, not too far from High Line. The menu will feature Italian coastal and island cuisine with a focus on crudos, whole fish and other seafood.

#HeavenlyFood: Bobby Van's Steakhouse #NYCRestaurantWeek Dinner Review!

Hey Dolls & Gents!

I'm here again with another restaurant review. This time it is based on a NYC Restaurant Week Menu. Bobby Van's Steakhouse is definitely one of the popular steakhouses here in NYC so I definitely did not hesitate to book a reservation to eat here. So, I got dressed in a pretty classy dress with the usual high heels and clutch. With my Fiancée by my side, I was Soooo looking forward to a romantic candlelit type of dinner. Hmmmm... Maybe I should have checked the reviews because to my unpleasant surprise, It was very bright, very cold & very loud. There were sooooo many loud conversations with a half packed dining room on a Sunday night, I needed shades for how bright it was when I was expecting at least a dimmed setting and let's just say I was rubbing my arms the entire time to keep my he warm.

The food was delicious and the drinks were average but the service was AMAZING! The Hostess was inviting, the Manager was extremely hospitable & the server was attentive. But you can definitely see the place caters to the business after work crowd & not so much couples.

Overall, It gets a 3 out of 5 & that's my #HeavenlyFood Review. If you happen to stop by, Tell them #HeavenlyFashionableBlog sent you! ;)

#HeavenlyBeauty: The New Skin Care Phenomenon!

Hey Dolls & Gents!

So, there's a brand new skin clearing trend & I'm here to tell you all about it!

Dermaplaning is a procedure that is performed on the face, under the face & on the sides of his face by a certified aesthetician. The purpose is to remove dead skin cells & unwanted facial hair. What happens is the top layer of dead cells is removed from your face with a tiny scalpel. It can be combined with a chemical peel for a fully fresh face & prices range from $100 to $200 & is recommended to get regularly every 4 or 5 Months.

Feel free to explore the hashtag Dermaplaning to catch quick clips of this procedure that's sweeping the beauty & skin care world!

#HeavenlyFood: Hudson Eatery Sunday Brunch Review!

Hey Dolls & Gents!

Here's My #HeavenlyFood Review on Hudson Eatery on 57th Street in Midtown West, Manhattan. New York.

After Sunday Church Service and before the beach, My Fiancee decided to grab brunch near our home. So, we jumped on our trusty and convenient Groupon app where we saw a really great brunch deal closer to our home than we were aware of.
There was a great outdoor seating area but it was hot outside and the umbrellas were down, so we just decided to eat inside. We were greeted sincerely and given the booth after we asked to sit there being that it wasn't too crowded.
The server was attentive and polite as well as the Hostess. The groupon options were good but I really wanted a steak and the server gave no problem adding a steak to my meal for just an additional $5. I couldn't believe it. I was expecting at least an extra $20 charge but hey, no complaints here! The food looked and tasted delicious and the drinks were great!

Oh, Did I mention the FABULOUS decor? O M G... The designer did an AMAZING job because the inside of the restaurant was breathtakingly beautiful and really did wonders to my brunch selfies. :) I definitely recommend going to eat at Hudson Eatery.

#HeavenlyFood: Alchemy Restaurant Weekday Dinner Review!

Hey Dolls & Gents!

It's Heaven here... How has everyone's summer been so far? I hope as fun as mine.

Well, Here's my #HeavenlyFood review on The Alchemy Restaurant in Brooklyn.

So, My Fiancee and I had tickets to go see Kevin Hart at The Barclays Center and of course, we had to indulge in a pre-theatre dinner before the show. Well, that turned out to be a treat! We weren't familiar with the restaurants tin this particular neighborhood so after searching and finding this place on the Zagat website, we definitely took a chance. Upon arrival, it appeared to be a bar, nothing formal or fine dining as the bartender kind of yelled out "hello! sit anywhere". At this point, I felt overdressed with my dress and heels. lol.. It was okay, though. We decided to sit outside where it looks exactly like a backyard to a harlem or brooklyn brownstone. There was actually people living right next door to the restaurant because we can hear their conversation through the fence.

The service was good, the drinks were strong (just as I like it), the food was delicious.. We were in and out and didn't spend more than $50 for two full meals and many drinks... not bad! I definitely recommend this place but would probably sit inside next time.

If you go, tell them #HeavenlyFashionableBlog Sent You! :)
